Itinerary

Day 1: Tanger - Arrival & Exploration

Your journey begins in Tangier, the gateway to Morocco. Visit the bustling port of Tangier and explore the city's blend of European and Moroccan cultures.

Then, drive through the scenic Rif Mountains to reach Tetouan, a city with a rich Spanish colonial history.

From Tetouan, head towards the famous "blue city" of Chefchaouen, where you'll stop for a delicious lunch. Afterward, enjoy a relaxed evening in Chefchaouen, known for its charming streets painted in shades of blue. Spend the night at a local hotel.

Day 2: Tanger - Chefchaouen - Exploring the Blue City

After breakfast, take a leisurely morning stroll around Chefchaouen.

Admire its narrow alleys, whitewashed houses with blue accents, and vibrant markets.

This city is a photographer’s paradise, with panoramic views of the surrounding Rif Mountains.

The day is free for you to explore at your own pace, or enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in a local restaurant.

Overnight at your hotel in Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Moulay Idriss - Fes

After breakfast, head south to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, where you’ll wander through the impressive remains of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Continue to the nearby hilltop town of Moulay Idriss, an important pilgrimage site in Morocco. After a lunch break in Meknes, enjoy a guided tour of its imperial granaries, stables, and the historical ramparts. In the evening, arrive in Fes, where you’ll stay in a local hotel for the night.

Day 4: Fes - Exploring the Imperial City

Today, embark on a guided tour of Fes, one of the most historic and cultural cities in Morocco.

Stroll through the labyrinthine medina, which is filled with ancient mosques, palaces, and bustling souks.

You’ll visit the famous tanneries, where leather is dyed using traditional methods, and also see the ceramics cooperative to witness artisans at work. The tour also includes visits to the Royal Palace and the historic Bou Inania Madrasa.

Spend the night in a hotel in Fes.

Day 5: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Arfoud - Merzouga Desert Camp

An early start for an 8-hour drive through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, known as "The Switzerland of Morocco," and take a walk in the cedar forests of Azrou.

Continue through Midelt, famous for its apples, before heading into the Ziz Gorge and approaching the Sahara Desert.

After a brief rest in Merzouga, board camels for a sunset ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes. Spend the night in a traditional nomadic camp, enjoying a Berber dinner and drum music under the stars.

Day 6: Khamlia - Nomad Villages - Erg Chebbi - Merzouga

Wake up early to capture the stunning sunrise over the Sahara dunes, then enjoy breakfast in the open air. Ride the camels back to your hotel for a refreshing shower. From here, visit the Khamlia village to experience its rich Gnawa music culture. Continue to the nearby nomadic villages to see traditional Berber life. In the afternoon, visit Erfoud, renowned for its fossil production, before heading to Todra Gorges for a walk through this dramatic canyon. Spend the night in Boumalne Dades at a local hotel.

Day 7: Merzouga - Arfoud - Tinjdad - Todra Gorges - Boumalne Dades

After breakfast, set off to explore more of Morocco's stunning landscapes.

Visit the famous Todra Gorges and enjoy a walk through this narrow, towering canyon.

Continue towards Tinjdad and stop for lunch before heading to the village of Boumalne Dades, a great place to relax after a day of exploration.

Day 8: Boumalne Dades - Kalaat Mgouna - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou

Today, drive through the Dades Valley, passing the "Valley of Roses" in Kalaat Mgouna. Visit Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Morocco," where you can explore the Atlas Film Studios.

From there, continue to the impressive Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This iconic fortified village is one of the most photographed places in Morocco, having appeared in films like "Gladiator" and "Game of Thrones."

Spend the night in a nearby hotel or guesthouse.

Day 9: Ait Benhaddou - Telouet - Marrakech

After breakfast, begin the journey towards Marrakech. Stop at the village of Telouet to explore its ancient kasbah, once the home of the powerful Glaoui family.

Continue the drive through the High Atlas Mountains, taking in breathtaking views of the valleys below.

Arrive in Marrakech in the evening and check in at your hotel or riad.

Explore the famous Djemaa el-Fna square, where you can enjoy the lively atmosphere, street performances, and traditional Moroccan food stalls. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 10: Marrakech - Full Day City Tour

Today, explore the sights of Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most vibrant cities. Visit the Jardin Majorelle, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the Bahia Palace. Wander through the souks of the medina, where you can shop for handmade goods and local spices.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner in the city, accompanied by a performance of traditional Moroccan music. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 11: Marrakech - Free Day or Optional Excursions

On your free day, you can relax in your riad or explore more of Marrakech at your own pace.

Optional excursions include a visit to the nearby Ourika Valley or a day trip to the coastal city of Essaouira.

Dinner will be served at your hotel or riad.

Day 12: Transfer to Airport
